When a visitor submits a “Contact Us” / “Call me back” form, Retell automatically places a phone call to the lead, uses their details as dynamic variables, and lets your voice agent handle the conversation—no manual dialing, no delays.
Problem Statement
Before this automation, the sales team had to manually:
- Slow response time – leads waited hours before getting a call back
- Missed opportunities – some leads never got a call if the team was busy
- Inconsistent data capture – different team members collected different information
- Low productivity – a lot of time was spent on repeated, basic qualification calls
- Decide whether the lead should go to sales, support, or generic inbox
Solution
To fix this, we built a voice AI follow-up workflow using n8n and Retell.

Web Form Trigger : Fields captured: name, email, phone number, subject
Once the visitor submits the form, n8n instantly triggers the next step. -
Smart Phone Number Handling : The workflow checks if the phone number already starts with +.
If not, it automatically adds the +91 country code for Indian numbers. - Retell API Integration : override_agent_id: the specific Retell voice agent to handle this call
