Overview
The Ooty Gymkhana Club website project focused on transforming the club’s digital identity with a modern, elegant, and user-friendly platform. The goal was to represent the club’s heritage, premium sports facilities, and membership experience through a refined UI/UX design. The redesigned website provides clear information on golf, accommodation, dining, events, and membership, while ensuring smooth navigation and a visually rich presentation that reflects the unique ambience of the club.
Problem Statement
The previous website had an outdated layout, inconsistent design elements, and limited content structure, making it difficult for users to find essential information or engage with the club’s offerings. Members and visitors often struggled to navigate facilities, membership options, booking details, and event updates. The site lacked visual appeal, mobile responsiveness, proper UI flow, and brand representation. This not only affected user experience but also reduced the club’s ability to showcase its premium environment and attract new memberships or enquiries.
Solution
We developed a completely refreshed, responsive, and visually appealing website with a strong UI/UX foundation tailored to the club’s brand identity. The new design features high-quality visuals, structured facility pages, simplified navigation menus, and well-organized content for golf, membership, amenities, and events. The layout was optimized for mobile performance, readability, and user engagement. Clear enquiry paths, improved accessibility, and faster loading speed were implemented to enhance overall interaction. This modern digital experience now allows members and guests to explore the club’s offerings effortlessly while strengthening Ooty Gymkhana Club’s online presence and credibility.
Problem Statement
Before the website implementation, the Ooty Gymkhana Club faced several challenges:
- No official website or centralized digital presence for the club.
- Outdated or unorganized member records, making directory maintenance difficult.
- No structured system to manage golf tournaments, events, and match bookings.
- Difficulty in generating reports for visitor data and donation insights.
These limitations resulted in poor member engagement, reduced participation in club activities, and lack of digital communication between the club and its members.
Solution
To address these challenges, we developed a dynamic, fully responsive web platform that digitized the club’s operations and enhanced member interaction.
- Event & Tournament Module: Implemented a dedicated events system for managing golf matches, tournaments, and club activities with real-time updates.
- Tournament Booking System: Added an online match booking feature that allows members to register and participate in upcoming golf tournaments easily.
- Member Directory Management: Designed a structured members’ directory for easy access, updates, and data accuracy, improving overall member management.
- Room Enquiry Form: Integrated enquiry forms for room booking requests to streamline hospitality services and guest handling.
- Course Handicap Calculator: Developed a custom golf course handicap calculator for members to compute their playing handicaps directly on the site.
- Sponsors Module: Added a dedicated sponsor management section for promoting club sponsors and partnership visibility.
- Modern UI/UX Design: Revamped the entire user interface with a premium, responsive design that aligns with the club’s elite branding and heritage.
Problem Statement
The legacy website underrepresented OGC’s pedigree, with outdated navigation, static content, and no unified platform for member activity or sponsor engagement.
Members struggled to coordinate games or communicate, while the club’s unique setting and facilities—especially the iconic 18-hole course—lacked a compelling digital showcase. Sponsors sought more sophisticated branding, and younger members wanted a reason to stay connected year-round.
Solution
A visually stunning, interactive web platform was developed, featuring a Blender- and Spline-powered 3D field experience where users could explore each of the 18 golf holes and access detailed pole information.
The site introduced community forums, event scheduling, learning courses, sponsors, and responsive design, celebrating history while embracing digital-first luxury. This new presence unified club news, events, and member touchpoints for a world-class online club experience.
