Overview
Our vehicle-maintenance product aims to provide a centralized system to schedule, track, and manage maintenance, repairs, and parts for one or multiple vehicles/fleet. It will consolidate maintenance history, alerts, service intervals, and diagnostic data into a unified digital platform. The goal is to reduce downtime, improve vehicle longevity and reliability, cut costs associated with unexpected breakdowns or emergency repairs.
Problem Statement
- Many organizations or individual vehicle-owners rely on manual logs, spreadsheets or paper records for maintenance — leading to missed service intervals, inconsistent maintenance, forgotten repairs, and lack of visibility into maintenance history.
- This often results in unplanned breakdowns, high repair costs, reduced vehicle lifespan, and inefficient vehicle utilization. For fleets, lack of centralized tracking makes it hard to know which vehicle needs service or when — leading to scheduling conflicts and increased downtime.
Solution
- Design and implement a software solution that automatically schedules maintenance based on mileage, engine hours or time elapsed, sends alerts/notifications for upcoming service, tracks repairs, parts usage and service history in a digital database.
- Include modules for work-order management, spare-parts/inventory tracking, and condition/diagnostic monitoring.
- Provide real-time dashboards and reports to managers (or owners) so they can monitor vehicle health, maintenance status, costs, and compliance — enabling proactive maintenance and preventing unexpected failure
