Overview
The Jakarta Murgan Temple Website was developed as a complete digital transformation project to enhance visitor experience and streamline temple management. The client faced challenges with UI design, visitor booking management, and crowd control during peak timings and festival seasons.
We built the entire platform from scratch, featuring a modern, responsive design and an integrated visitor booking management module tailored to their operational flow.
Problem Statement
Before the new web application, the temple administration faced several issues:
- Outdated and inconsistent website design that lacked mobile responsiveness.
- Inefficient visitor booking process leading to long queues and manual errors.
- No structured time-slot–based appointment system for crowd management.
- Limited visibility into donation tracking and booking performance.
- Difficulty in generating reports for visitor data and donation insights.
Solution
To address these challenges, we developed a custom-built web application with a focus on performance, usability, and analytics.
- Visitor Booking Management Module: Designed a time-slot–based system (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM) with six 30-minute slots and 10-minute breaks to manage crowd flow efficiently.
- Online Donation & Payment Gateway Integration: Implemented a secure online donation flow using Xendit Payment Gateway, enabling multiple payment options including credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and e-wallets. This integration improved convenience, reduced cash dependency, and ensured real-time transaction validation.
- Advanced Reporting Dashboard: Built an admin dashboard with DataTables, status filters, date filters, and live metrics such as total users registered, number of pre-bookings and on-site bookings, and revenue comparison charts. Admins can also download data in Excel and CSV formats for quick analysis.
- Modern, Responsive UI: Developed a fresh, SEO-optimized, device-friendly design that enhanced temple visibility and user engagement.
- Impact: After implementation, the temple reported a 4× increase in donation revenue through online booking and payments, significant reduction in cash handling, and improved visitor experience through efficient time-slot management.
